This was a unique project that I got to work on right after switch back to a developer at Hanson. The client shipped us a giant touchscreen that was to go in the “Discovery Center” at the world headquarters. I was tasked with developing an Electron app that would go on that giant screen and show off their different locations around the world as well as what went on at them.
The challenging part about this build was that I had to develop on a PC due to some limitations we were dealing with at the time. As a primarily Mac developer it was tricky but I ended up editing the code on my Mac and committing, pulling the code down on a PC and running our compiler and packaging scripts, and then walking over and testing the edits on the screen.
In the end it came out looking great in their space and it was fun developing for something other than the web for a change.
